disease...Why are people scared of rats and mice but not hamsters, gerbils, squirrel, guinea pigs?
rats and mice are more uglier looking...
because they are known for being around filth and disease.
Some are scared because it's unknown of to them.
rats and mice are associated with garbage and disease, while hamsters and gerbils are considered cute pets.
im scared of them all
i think they are just chicken i am not afraid of these animals
Because rats and mice usually usually pay unexpected visits to peoples homes.
probably because people always tell them about how rats and mice are grouse with diseases on them, and you almost never hear about any of the others ones having diseases. but i love them all either way.

i dunno... i'm not scared of them...
i once caught a baby mouse and kept it as a pet for quite a long time... freaked my mom out :P

Rats and mice are often associated with disease (bubonic plague) and theft of your food. I know many people who think squirrels are rats with fuzzy tails.
The others have been domesticated and, therefore, not as scary.
