How to keep mice and squirrels out of my blower fan?

I found out that a mouse or squirrel had built a nest in my blower fan on my 2002 Toyota Tundra and want to know how they get in and how I can keep them out.How to keep mice and squirrels out of my blower fan?
little blighters can get in anywhere...not much you can do to stop them. How to keep mice and squirrels out of my blower fan?
Quite a difference between a mouse nest http://www.sialis.org/images/mousenestsl鈥?/a>

and a squirrel nest http://www.ofnc.ca/fletcher/newsletter/B鈥?/a>

They get in through the vents and can do a lot of damage. Clean it out, fix any chewed wires. I've heard moth balls, but that makes your car smell of moth balls, especially in the vents, and I've heard they don't like the smell of Irish Spring soap.
Maybe call your Toyota dealership and ask if they have suggestions. They are pesky buggers. Squirrels, not Toyota people.
