Do I have mice, bird, or squirrel in my wall?

I heard a scratching, clawing noise on my wall near the front door around 9pm tonight. I went outside and figured it entered in between the space where the vinyl siding and front exterior facade meet. There are a few areas that a rodent could enter. It stopped scratching when I hit on the wall. I don't know if it's a mouse or a squirrel or a bird. Any thoughts?Do I have mice, bird, or squirrel in my wall?
Birds are inactive after dark, probaly squirrel or mouse or bats.Do I have mice, bird, or squirrel in my wall?
Likely a mouse or squirrel. If your looking to plug up the space, wait till they get out looking for food in the day then close the space up. You don't want a dead rodent in you walls! Else you can get a specialist to put in a one way door in the space so that if they do get trapped, they can get out but not back in. OR you can try and finagle one yourself.

Hope that helps.
This time of year it is probably a bat, or a few. If you have access to the interior of the wall, you can get rid of the rodents with moth balls.

It smells bad, but the bats don't like it either. If it is a squirrel, you will have to find out how it is getting in and block the entrance.
It could even be a cat that has mistaken your house for its own.
