How do you get rid of mice/rats w/o affecting the squirrels and chipmunks?

Get a havaheart trap and if you catch the squirrel or chipmunks let them go.How do you get rid of mice/rats w/o affecting the squirrels and chipmunks?
A rodent by any other name.Good question... Make sure the chip-monks and squirrels have plenty of food, then put out some rat poison away from the others food. That`s my guessHow do you get rid of mice/rats w/o affecting the squirrels and chipmunks?
It is a weird cultural thing and fear about mice and rats because we see their antics more than we do other rodents such as squirrels or chipmunks.

The squirrels and chipmunks probably cause damage, but they are cuter so we abide them.

Mice and rats are destructive I agree, but since they are urban, we fear them more.

In reality screening all entryways into your house, cleaning up any possible food source outside, and possibly humane traps are best.

But remember, all of these creatures are very wary and sly and have a part in our ecology.

Man has almost domesticated the rat with his poor living habits.

Vector control is a very big business and I suppose that the Pest Control companies propagate myths to have this perceived need continued.
i like squirrels
Get a cat
if theyre in the house just poison them..if theyre outside in a barn or somthing that would be tough....a couple of kids with bb guns could probably deal their numbers a heavy blow if you told them only mice and rats.....ha, the trap idea might work to
